Certifications: Interim Professional Alberta Certification

Bachelor of Education - Elementary (Burman University)
Graduate work toward a Masters of Science in Outdoor and Environmental Education (Alaska Pacific University)

Hi! My name is Tami Braman.  I moved to Medicine Hat two years ago from Alaska where I had been working on a Masters of Science in Outdoor and Environmental Education.  I grew up in Northern British Columbia and my experiences there, growing up in the country, have taught me a love for nature and the outdoors.  I taught upper elementary in British Columbia for 7 years before moving to Alaska and have enjoyed my time in multi-grade classrooms the most.  This last summer, I had the opportunity to travel and hike in Iceland with my sisters.  My favourite past times are reading, singing, playing musical instruments, traveling, gardening, hiking, and discovering new and interesting areas to explore.  It is my desire to build in my students a love for God, for creativity and learning, and for nature, God’s second book.

Hi! My name is Jessica Heroux. I have been in Medicine Hat for a little over a year and currently in my second year of teaching here at HGCS. Before moving to Medicine Hat I was in the Lacombe/Red Deer Area attending PAA for highschool and CUC, now Burman University for my elementary education degree. I graduated with my BEd degree and plan on pursuing my Masters degree in the future. I have so far lived in 12 cities and 3 provinces, I guess you could say I am a travelbug. I love to explore new places and one day hope to visit every continent. My goal in life is to educate children not only for the purpose of obtaining a succesful job but to also educate them about our Lord and Saviour, so that they may accept Him and His gift of everlasting life.
